Corrupt Politician Asked to be Buried with 280K Pesos So He Could Bribe God and Escape Hell!

There’s an old saying that “you can’t take your wealth with you once you’re dead,” but one corrupt man from Uganda appears to refute this claim, who asked his family to bury him with a lot of money so he could he could have cash to 'bribe God' and escape hell.

A 52-year-old man named Charles Obong who reportedly died on December 17, 2016, after a long sickness. He got buried with at least $5,700 (almost P284,000) inside his casket because he reportedly wanted to give it to God as an “offertory” to forgive him for his sins and “save him from hell fire.”

However, luck ran out of the ‘dead man’ short after his burial on Christmas Eve, in his hometown in Adag-ani Village, Aromo Sub-county in Lira District, Uganda, when details of his will came to light.

And after the church discovered his bizarre request, community elders dug up the money and returned it to the man’s family, saying it was taboo to bury someone with money.

The money was returned to the family. Although some reports claim they are feeling guilty because Obong would most likely rot in hell now that he no longer has money to bribe God to bring him to heaven.
