The beloved President took immediate action and flew to his hometown after receiving the report that there had been a bombing incident in Roxas Market, Davao City.

President Rodrigo Duterte canceled his flight to Peru, supposed to be his first presidential trip after the deadly Davao City bombing.



Hours after the incident, Duterte declared a "state of lawlessness" over the entire country in order to facilitate better coordination of military and police in the face of "lawless violence."
