Insects that Inhabits Philippine Forests Now Infesting Local Passengers by Entering their Eyes!

An outbreak is now circulating the Philippine locals after these infesting insects came down from the mountains and forest of the country. These pests are usually seen in a certain mountain and forest that all mountaineers are avoiding.

They are called Limatik or blood leeches.  There are several species of haemophagic (blood-eating), parasitic mountain leeches in the Philippines, belonging to the subclass Hirudinea. They range from the familiar brown and black ones that are banded with varieties, including those with green and yellow stripes.

They will go through your eyes like a dust and live in there until it grows. You will feel the burn when they started sucking blood out of your eyes and other part of your face.
